The legendary Aksal Maboul, founded in 1977 by Crammed Discs head honcho Marc Hollander and Vincent Kenis, are a Belgian avant-rock band that has carved out its own niche of shapeshifting musical diversity, bound together by a grounded aesthetic and an exhilarating willingness to upset patterns both musical and sociological. A 30-year break that started in the mid-80s effectively ended in 2014 when they made their much welcomed return. Aksal Maboul now revolves around Marc Hollander and singer Véronique Vincent whose lyrics are highly allusive, entertaining and extremely sophisticated. They will be performing their acclaimed 2020 album ‘Figures’ for the first time in front of a live audience.
