AOUIE plays with diverging characters and the simultaneity of events which come along with varied sound levels and contrasting emotional impact.
In the live concert, the pieces are placed in the room, referring to the special acoustic situation.
The closeness to the audience can be an interresting experience for all involved parties, taking in account the mostly imponderable sound materials.
The Titles of the pieces, all vowels, derive from formations of the mouth cavity, that have to be performed in order to produce special multiphonics, or to extract single overtones.
