“Mauro Antonio Pawlowski (born 24 April 1971) is one of the key figures in the Belgian contemporary music scene. He was born in Koersel and is of Italian and Polish descent.

He started his career as frontman of Evil Superstars in 1992. This group was, along with dEUS, part of the first wave of the Belgian music boom in the 90’s. He split the band in 1998 and has since then played in numerous bands, including Mitsoobishy Jacson, Kiss my Jazz, Monguito and Shadowgraphic City. He is currently a member of dEUS, The Love Substitutes, Othin Spake, Club Moral, Archetypes of the Multisabanas and I Hate Camera. Beside these projects, Mauro has released solo work under various aliasses: Mauro A. Pawlowski, Somnabula, while fronting a new group called Mauro Pawlowski & the Grooms.

In 2008 he toured with the Dutch poet/writer Ramsey Nasr. In 2009 he tours as a guitar player with Contemporary dance group Ultima Vez of Wim Vandekeybus. In October 2016, dEUS announced via social media that Pawlowski would leave the band after a final concert in Antwerp the following February.”

Musician born on the 28th of January 1967 in Wilrijk (Belgium), and based in Antwerp (Belgium).
After he graduated at the St. Lucas school of arts in Ghent (Belgium) he founded the label Heavenhotel in the early 1990s. From 1993 till 1995 he was part of dEUS. From 1995 he concentrated himself to his numerous other bands including Kiss My Jazz and Dead Man Ray. In 2004 he joined The Love Substitutes.
