We are happy and excited to be able to announce that tickets for the Meakusma Festival 2024 are now available.
The 2024 edition of the festival will span four days, just like in 2022. Due to cost increases and life in general getting more expensive, we have had to slightly increase the ticket prices. We do however believe that with a soon-to-be-announced lineup of some 140 artists, we have managed to still keep the prices of the tickets rather affordable, in line with our aim to make the festival accessible to everyone.
4-day ticket: 130 Euro (+ ticket fee)
3-day ticket: 110 Euro (Friday – Saturday – Sunday) (+ ticket fee)
1-day ticket Thursday: 25 Euro (+ ticket fee)
1-day ticket Friday: 50 Euro (+ ticket fee)
1-day ticket Saturday: 60 Euro (+ ticket fee)
1-day ticket Sunday: 45 Euro (+ ticket fee)
LINEUP
The full lineup of the 2024 Meakusma Festival will be announced in April. We will then also make some tickets for specific concerts only available.
CAMPING AND ACCOMMODATION
Unfortunately, camping in and behind the vegetable garden of the Alter Schlachthof, the festival’s main venue, is not possible anymore. That is why the entire camping site will now be moved to the Ettersten meadows, located directly below the Alter Schlachthof. The Ettersten fields were already part of the camping facilities of the festival in 2022. The wooden hut in the vegetable garden will still serve as a bar during all four days of the festival.
Supervision of the camping will as of this year be taken over by local scout group Franz von Assisi from Eupen. They will be responsible for setting up and dismantling all of the camping infrastructure and will charge a 12 Euro fee per person using the camping (booking fee included and to be paid only once, whether for one night or four nights). They will use this income to fund their own projects.
People into something more of a glamping experience, the tents in this link are available for 200 euro for four days. These tents have four beds inside and will be fully set up and dismantled by the scouts: https://www.canvascamp.com/en/sibley-500-ultimate. A small number of scout tents is also available. They do not come with beds and cost 90 Euro for four days:https://tentescouts.be/produit/tente-snj-polyservice/. They will also be fully set up and dismantled by the scouts. The 12 Euro per person general camping fee remains applicable for all tents rented. The tents shown through these links serve as an example only. All tents as well as the camping fee should be reserved online in the ticket shop of the festival website. The booking fee for the tents does not include entrance to the festival!
Haus Stockem in Eupen has 27 beds available: https://www.kaleo-asbl.be/en/accommodations/haus-stockem-eupen/. The house needs to be booked in one go, so it is recommended for a large group of people that then decide on how they accommodate themselves with the 27 beds divided over four rooms. The Haus Stockem can be booked through the ticket shop. It is very close to the festival site.
The Eupen youth hostel is as always a very affordable option and Airbnb is of course a practical way to find accommodation options of any kind. For more accommodation info, please keep an eye on our socials and the festival website as we will keep on providing you with more info in the very near future.
Our ticket shop lists up all offers for accommodation regarding camping and youth hostel. You can directly book through the ticket shop page on the festival website.
TRAVEL
For travel info, you can relate to the info section of the festival website. We would just like to indicate that for people traveling to the festival from the UK, we recommend checking the Eurostar website, because prices are right now still good. When booking a train ticket, make sure to choose the option to travel to Brussels and any Belgian station. This will allow you to travel for free from Brussels to Eupen. This is an important detail not to be forgotten when you are booking a train ticket internationally.
