Detraex Corp is Giovanni Civitenga, a producer and DJ from Rome. Since 2014, Civitenga has been curating SKYAPNEA on NTS Radio, a series of broadcasts dedicated to
broken club, dubbed out sounds, experimental electronics, and atonal drifts. His DJ sets as SKYAPNEA build on 90s chillout and contemporary experimental bass, guided by a strict no-genre policy that twists together sounds from disparate contexts and eras into a rhythmic continuum. He releases his own music under a variety of monikers, including Eternal Index, for work that explores the concept of mnemonic archeology through sound, Eter Dex, which focuses on club music, and Detraex Corp, reserved for slower and textural sound exploration, an experimental dub of sorts which utilizes sampling as archeology, building hypothetical music from found fragments. The Detraex Corp album Live at Pompeii was released in 2025 on Sagome.
