Born from an invitation extended by the gnration cultural initiative in Braga, Portugal, to Inês Malheiro, this conjuration, completed by Arianna Casellas and Violeta Azevedo, is now called I’A’V. A triangulation of artists, each with a fully formed vision and a path
forged across multiple fronts, I’A’V trace a course of dreamlike songs that blend
into a long and volatile poem, where a rarefied electronic landscape of arpeggios, glassy textures, and ruptures seeps into the lyricism of Casellas’s cello lines and Azevedo’s flute breaths, guided by voice. At times stripped bare, at others soaked in a torrent of post-human effects, settled on Malheiro’s expressiveness and elevated by the beatific harmonies of Casellas and Azevedo. I’A’V unveil mysteries and conceal realities in a fluid sequence of communal ascension moments and passages of deeper abstraction, woven into a dreamlike flow.
