In this workshop, we will transform a woven carpet into a unique musical instrument. With artist Saba Arat, we dive into the techniques of making woven pieces interactive, covering essential skills such as cabling, soldering, and translating touch data into MIDI signals. We’ll also collaboratively select and integrate sounds to bring our creation to life. By the end of the session, participants will have co-created a patchwork-style, interactive sound installation.
