Composer-performer/violinist Biliana Voutchkova and composer/electroacoustic instrumentalist Andrea Parkins have been performing as an improvising duo since 2019. They first played together as part of the Input Impro II Festival at CHB Berlin. The duo’s subsequent performances – in Berlin and elsewhere – have facilitated a shared and cohesive sonic exchange between the two artists, one that is energetic yet delicate, full of detailed articulations and surprising reciprocal sonic gestures.
