Brunnera is Gordon Bruce, a musician based in Glasgow. He makes whimsical speedcore, music which foregrounds melody and weaves it through snaking polyrhythms to create a singular, propulsive sound. His debut 7-track EP came out on Matthew Herbert’s NX Records and the London-based Kit Records, a collection of frenetic kitchen-sink percussion with a trail of mossy melodies that coil and linger like mythical glow worms. He produced two contrasting tracks for Peder Mannerfelt’s own Produktion label, pleasingly off-kilter stuff for a dancefloor context. Outside of Brunnera, he co-runs the tape label GLARC, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026. His next release will be an album on Kit Records, due in 2026.
