Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu is a cellist, composer, and improviser. Her main interest in music lies in moving between genres and experimenting with ways to explore non-genre specifications. Her musical language is rooted in her upbringing in Istanbul and shaped by her background in European classical music, Turkish makam, free improvisation, and contemporary, experimental, and electroacoustic music. She has been based in Berlin since 2024. She has released solo work as well as collaborative albums with the iKKi Duo, a project with electroacoustic musician, artist researcher, and pianist Fulya Uçano.
