Bertel Schollaert is a classically trained saxophonist, a member of the Nadar Ensemble, and he has also played with ensembles such as Champ d’Action, Ictus, and BL!NDMAN. Hein Devos is the sound engineer for Belgian post-metal band Amenra. Together, they delve into Objetos de la Noche by Spanish composer Alberto Posadas, a darkly overpowering composition that stretches the sonic possibilities of the baritone sax, and TAL by Berlin composer Genoël von Lilienstern, a piece that conjures up a uniquely physical baritone sax experience. In their performance, the low notes of baritone and bass saxophones are manipulated acoustically and electronically.
