Ben Babbitt is a Los Angeles-based musician, producer and composer whose style incorporates experimental ambient music using synthesizers as well as live instruments. He is known for creating the score for the acclaimed video game Kentucky Route Zero, as well as the soundtrack for the Paris Window film. His site-specific performance Overflows for four vocalists and quadraphonic electronics, was presented at the Getty Museum in 2019. His music dwells in a hypnagogic contemporary noir lullaby, full of lingering dread and low lights. Electronics, strings, and percussion swoon and seethe in heady mirages of dreams and delirium, romance and menace. It is the stuff of warped romanticism and equally warped contemplation.
