Elizabeth Davis is a Berlin-based American musician, composer, sound artist, writer, and audio engineer whose work uses the interplay of technological limitation, algorithmic processes, and human expression/intervention as its subject matter. Davis’ music—under her own name or under her Wilted Woman alias—resists easy categorization, drawing equally from musique concrète, radio drama, harsh noise, and 20th-century dance music. She previously ran a label called untergang-institut and co-curated Power Loom, a monthly electronic music concert series at KM28 in Berlin with Bridget Ferrill. She has created radio art, produced features, and mixed records for stations including NTS (London), Berlin Community Radio (Berlin), Cashmere Radio (Berlin), Kiosk (Brussels), and many more. She frequently collaborates with other artists, including Sebastian von der Heide and Kelsey Isaacs.
