Mona Steinwidder, born in Munich in 1985, studied Visual Communication at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts. Based in Hamburg, she has been active as a musician in various contexts, projects and bands since 2004, next to co-founding several record labels and working as a freelance artist. In addition to her Mohna solo project, she is part of experimental pop band Me Succeeds and has been collaborating for many years with electronic music producer Christian Löffler. She is involved in project-related music theatre productions, multimedia works and dance performances.
Since 2017, she has been developing a multidisciplinary, experimental solo project under the title ‘Museum of No Art’. She also founded the collective label I Saw Music as well as the STSTST label that specialises in unconventional music formats and project-based music releases. In addition to regular label events, I Saw Music has released various label samplers and limited vinyl editions.
