Thomas Meinecke is a writer of numerous novels and stories since 1986, published by Suhrkamp Verlag. His most recent novel “Selbst” came out in 2016. As a musician, he is a member of the legendary German experimental band F.S.K. which was founded in 1980, next to collaborating on many electronic music projects with Move D since 1998. He is also an active DJ and runs the dialogue event series Plattenspieler since 2007. He has worked at various universities all over Europe and the USA and has recently been a writer-in-residence at the university of St Andrews in Scotland. He was awarded the Berlin Literature Prize in 2020.
