London’s The Dengie Hundred is the mind behind a slew of cult underground records over recent years, including as one half of Blackwater on Ethbo Music, Japan Blues on Demdike Stares DDS imprint, solo for the excellent Sagome label, and the subtle and eviscerated dream-pop of his 2024 collaboration with writer and singer Gemma Blackshaw. The Dengie Hundred is nocturnal imagination and longing.
